Accessibility Statement
Accessibility Statement for Aeron Repairs
Our commitment
We’re committed to making our website (https://www.aeronrepairs.co.uk/) accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities. We believe in giving equal access and opportunity to all users. We aim to fulfil best-practice accessibility standards and continuously improve our site.\
How we’re doing
We use the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 as our accessibility standard. These guidelines explain how to make web content — text, images, audio, video, forms, and interactions — more accessible. We aim for at least AA conformance.
What we have done so far
-
Our site uses meaningful headings and navigation structure so screen-reader users can understand the layout.
-
We have included “alt” text for meaningful images and ensure decorative images are appropriately hidden from assistive technologies.
-
We ensure that all interactive elements (buttons, links, forms) can be operated via keyboard (Tab, Enter, Space).
-
We use colour contrast that meets or exceeds the minimum required contrast ratios to ensure readability for low-vision users.
-
We make sure the site is responsive and works on a variety of devices (mobile, tablet, desktop).
-
Where possible, we avoid auto-playing audio/video and provide the user with control of media playback.
-
We maintain a clear and consistent layout and design so users find it easier to predict how to move around.
What we’re still working on
We recognise that accessibility is an ongoing effort. Some areas we are working to improve include:
-
Conducting full accessibility testing (with assistive technologies and real users) on all pages.
-
Ensuring all future PDF downloads, external documents and embedded content meet accessibility standards.
-
Improving skip-link functionality (to allow users to bypass repeated navigation quickly).
-
Further refining the site’s ARIA roles and landmarks to enhance screen-reader navigation.

Compatibility with browsers and assistive technology
The site is designed to work with current major browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge) and common assistive technologies (screen-readers, keyboard navigation). Because technology changes, we cannot guarantee full compatibility with every browser or device.
Enforcement procedure
If you are not satisfied with our response to your accessibility feedback, you can follow the procedure set out by the UK’s equality legislation or contact a relevant body.
Formal compliance status
While we aim to meet WCAG 2.1 AA standards, this site is not yet fully conformant. Below is a summary of our accessibility status:

Some legacy content remains to be audited.
